We can expect the topics to range from the war in Iraq, the conflict in Israel/Palestine, media propaganda, threat of nuclear war, corporate globalization, grassroots democratic organizing, anarchism, imperialism, global warming, the democracy deficit in the US, and perhaps linguistics, cognitive science, education theory and maybe a little philosophy too.

Professor Noam Chomsky has graciously offered to participate in a Live Author Chat regarding his book, Interventions. We have tentatively arranged for Oct. 4th, 7PM EST. Looks a great reason to get a hold of the book and prepare for the chat!

Cool!
I like the sound of that. I wonder what Chomsky's chatrooom skills are like? |

I believe we will be doing an email interview of Chomsky as opposed to a live chat. That book forum has received far too little activity to warrant having such a prominent author as a chat guest. It just wouldn't be fair. If Dissident decides to hold a live chat I'll advertise it as best as possible, but for now I believe he has decided to interview Chomsky through email instead.

That's reasonable, though I'm disappointed I won't get a chance to chat with Chomsky.
