I am a "newbie" to both book clubs and online forums, so hopefully I will learn quickly. I'm not really sure how I found this site <definitely supports the "newbie" concept> except that I have recently been surfing sites dealing with separation of church and state, history of religions, mythology, etc.

Goddamn it's taken along time for me to get around to joining Booktalk. Almost a year ago I had an incessant need to do something new. So, I applied for a BA in literature at University and as a backup I thought I would find a bookclub. Finding no local bookclubs - I have a sneaking suspicion that they're all underground, with rules 1, 2 & 3 'You do not talk about Bookclub' - I resorted to online. It's taken just about that long to wade through the Google results.
